The Darien Republican Town Committee recruits and recommends qualified candidates for local appointed boards and commissions, and supports local, state and federal candidates for office.
Â
Darien's Town Boards and Commissions are open to all Darien residents... commuters, parents, grandparents, empty-nesters, those who've volunteered for many years, and those who are volunteering for the first time.
To be considered by the RTC for elected and appointed positions, you must be:
Â
A Darien resident, and
A registered Republican (for either elected or appointed positions) or a registered unaffiliated voter (for appointed positions).
Â
Darien Republicans are currently seeking to fill a vacancy on the Board of Finance. Three year member John Wolcott has resigned and we are grateful for his service to the Town of Darien. Darien Republicans are looking for a candidate who can interview for appointment to fulfill Wolcott’s term (12 months) and also run for reelection to that seat for 2025. The full Board of Finance term is 4 years.Â
If you or anyone you know are interested in learning more, please contact RTC Chairman Rachel Taylor and Recruitment Chairman Jim Demark at info@darienrepublicans.com or Board of Finance Chairman Jim Palen at jpalen@darienct.gov.Â
